If you are looking for a compact coupe that is a pleasure to drive, then check out the 2025 BMW 2 Series 2-door coupe. With its quick acceleration, nimble handling and excellent braking performance, this sports coupe delivers in all the areas you would expect from a BMW.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The BMW 2 Series comes in two trims, the 230i and the M240i, both having the choice of rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. The 230i comes equipped with a 255-horsepower turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, while the M240i ramps up the performance with a 382-horsepower turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine. Both trims come with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The 2 Series’ 230i coupe provides the heightened levels of acceleration, steering, braking and overall performance that you would expect from a BMW, especially with the M Sport and Dynamic Handling packages. Acceleration is especially quick, making merging and passing on the highway easy. Steering and handling is nimble with little body motion and excellent traction on curves. Braking is powerful at high speeds and is easy to control on city streets.
Fuel Economy
The rear-wheel drive 230i has an EPA-estimated 26 mpg in the city, 35 mpg on the highway, and 30 mpg combined. The all-wheel drive 230i mileage drops to 25 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.
The rear-wheel drive M240i has an EPA-estimated 23 mpg in the city, 32 mpg on the highway, and 26 mpg combined. The all-wheel drive version clocks in at the same mileage figures.

The 2 Series coupe’s interior was designed with the driver in mind. The driver’s position is excellent, and the controls are easy to reach and use. Seating is supportive and well padded. The front-row seats offer plenty of legroom and headroom. The dash comes with BMW’s Cockpit Plus system, which combines a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment display with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. A head-up display is available in the Premium package.
