Electric vehicles are the car of the future, and now is a great time to upgrade to an EV if you haven’t already. This year, the BMW iX is a top choice with its innovative design and dozens of advanced features. Here’s what we love about the 2025 BMW iX and how to test drive one at our dealership today.

1. Impressive Charging and Range

The 2025 iX uses an advanced lithium-ion battery to get nearly 310 miles on a full charge, and it only takes 11 hours to go from 0-100% with a level 2 charger. You don’t have to sacrifice speed or acceleration, either, with the iX’s top track speed of 124 MPH. It can also reach 60 MPH from a standstill in just 4.4 seconds, so you can zip around town or power through road trips with ease.

2. A Futuristic Dashboard Display

The iX features the iconic BMW Curved Display, which features an extra-large curved touchscreen that houses both the driver’s instrument cluster and central infotainment system in one. The screen reaches halfway across the dashboard and offers a range of customization options that keep controls convenient while minimizing distraction.

3. Personalized Driving Modes

BMW’s My Modes lets you customize your own driving experience by selecting either the Personal, Efficient, or Sport Mode. Personal Mode lets you save your preferred settings like cabin air temperature, seat position, and interior lighting for your next drive. Efficient Mode engages ECO air conditioning and ECO PRO driver settings to maximize energy efficiency, while Sport Mode offers a more thrilling experience with custom engine sounds, dynamic steering, and more.

4. Smartphone Connectivity

Drivers can connect their iX to the My BMW App, which allows for on-the-go visibility into the car’s battery status, available range, and other key metrics. You can also control the cabin temperature and find a charging station near you with just the touch of a button.

5. Intelligent Safety Features

The iX also gives drivers peace of mind with safety features like standard Active Blind Spot Detection, standard Lane Departure Warning, and available Highway Assistant with Active Lane Change. Blind Spot Detection and Lane Departure Warning issues an audible, in-cabin alert and steering wheel vibrations when your blind spot is occupied, or you start to drift outside your designated lane. The available Highway Assistant also lets you engage the hands-free driving mode when traveling under 85 MPH on controlled-access highways.
