BMW Adds Power and Performance to the 2020 X3

After getting a series of upgrades for 2019, you could forgive BMW if they decided to stand firm on its beautiful X3 model and bypass any significant improvements for the 2020 edition. Instead, BMW took the 2020 X3 a step further and will introduce two new, high-performance trim levels for the new year. You'll also find a healthy energy boost in one trim level. It is just another sign BMW is working hard to stay ahead of the luxury crossover pack.

First Things First

Before we get to the show-stoppers, let's take a look at the latest versions of the BMW X3. The base trim of the 2020 BMW X3 shines a brighter light on the road ahead of you, and as you take the curves. That is because both the sDrive30i and xDrive30i are equipped with brilliant LED headlights and cornering lights. Cornering lights give you a view of the intersection, as you prepare to make a turn. There will be fewer surprising waiting for you on the corners, as your cornering lights illuminate the area to get a clear view of where you are turning.

More additions are sure to please everyone in your X3. A larger 8.8-inch touchscreen helps control your infotainment system and comes standard on each trim level. Everyone will enjoy the newly-added Apple CarPlay smartphone integration. You'll appreciate the standard navigation. For those who love their luxury crossover to have a little more power, the all-wheel-drive X3 M40i trim gets a nearly 30 horsepower increase to its turbocharged six-cylinder engine, to 382 horsepower.

New Trims Bring More Power

Say hello to the newest members of the X3 roster. The X3 M is a compact powerhouse designed to enhance the sportiness of your X3 experience. The 473-horsepower six-cylinder promises to get you from zero-to-60 in 4.1 seconds. It is outfitted with adaptive M Suspension and an M Sport differential. Inside you'll find a massive 10.25-inch touchscreen and even more standard driver-assist features. You'll also have access to the available Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless device charging, and parallel park assist.

For supreme power, BMW has the M Competition level of the X3. It comes with the same features of the X3 M trim, with one exception. The 503-horsepower turbocharged six-cylinder makes it the most powerful X3 you'll find.

Never one to be satisfied with how things are, BMW continues to rise to the top when it comes to elegant SUV features. Now you can add sporty and performance to its list of specialties. Take a look at the new BMW X3 at BMW of Westbrook. You deserve to treat yourself in the 2020 BMW X3.
